Clubroom re-building Project
Stage 1 of our multi-stage Clubroom rebuilding project was opened in May 2010. The work comprised a new commercial kitchen, Function Centre, toilet facilities, landscaped beer garden with a covered BBQ bar and a kids playground.
We also built an alfresco smoking area off the lounge bar and a smoking area for the Gaming room. Our existing Bistro has a new ceiling and chairs and has been repainted for use as a multi purpose function room and bistro.
Our new Function Management team of Georgia and Tash have event package ideas in place for all your function needs and we are taking bookings and enquiries now for the remainder of 2011 and your 2012 special occasions. Refer to the Functions page for details.
Non Smoking.
Smoking indoors in all Clubs and Pubs was prohibited from 2nd Jan 2010 and outdoors from 2nd Jan 2011 when smoking outdoors was restricted to approved areas. Those areas have operational restrictions imposed including no consumption of food allowed except pre-packaged snack food. Drinking and TV entertainment is permitted.
We value all Members equally regardless of whether they smoke or not and are providing good amenities where customers may smoke without affecting other customers or staff. We are very grateful for the support shown by our loyal members who smoke.
New suburbs of Lyons and Muirhead
The development of Lyons is almost complete with most of the 690 new houses behind our Club occupied or under construction.
The civil works for Stage One of the adjacent suburb of Muirhead with potential for another 1,200 dwellings is underway with the first land release of 166 lots, Breezes Muirhead on Lee Point Road, planned for November 2011. We have been pleased to welcome over 200 new Members from Lyons to date and hope to welcome new residents of Muirhead during 2012.
